How it was made
Two days in the hills above Dahlonega
The brief
Fernway wanted one film for the spring range that would work as a two-minute brand piece, a minute for paid social and three short cut-downs. The shoot was two days in the hills above Dahlonega with three cameras and a drone.
The edit
I built the assembly on Monday from 214 clips, found the line in the rider’s breathing, and cut to that instead of to the music. Picture locked on Thursday morning at 2:14.
Colour stayed close to what the light did on the day: warm late sun, skin kept honest, the jersey held back so it didn’t glow. The mix keeps the wind and the freewheel under a quiet score.
What happened
The film went out on Fernway’s own channels the following Monday and passed 1.4 million views in the first week. The 15-second cut-down ran as their best ad of the season.
